The Holborn Group Ownership Structure

The Holborn Group was founded in 1986 and commenced operations during 1987. It is a member of the Oilinvest Group and consists of the following companies:

Holborn Investment Company Limited, the holding company of the Holborn Group was incorporated in Cyprus on 27 September 1986 and is based in Larnaca. It is 100% owned by Oilinvest (Netherlands) B.V. and is involved in actively monitoring and managing the performance of its three subsidiaries: Holborn European Marketing Company Limited, Holborn Europa Raffinerie GmbH and Deutsche Tamoil GmbH.

Holborn European Marketing Company Limited was incorporated in Cyprus on 7 November 1987 and is based and operates from its freehold offices in Larnaca. Its principal activities revolve around the purchasing of crude oil and feedstocks, the selling of the refined products and the trading in oil products.

Holborn Europa Raffinerie GmbH, a German registered company, was established and started operating in 1987 with the purchase of a refinery based in Hamburg, Germany. The Holborn Refinery is well positioned in Hamburg, a major industrial centre where it enjoys excellent access to both sea and inland waterways. It can handle crude from VLCC vessels discharged at Nord-West Oelleitung GmbH (NWO) tank farm in Wilhelmshaven, where the company holds a 20,3% stake and transferred to the refinery via a 147Km pipeline owned by Norddeutsche Oelleitungsgesellschaft mbH (NDO), a 100% subsidiary. Holborn Europa Raffinerie GmbH processes crude oil and other input materials under a processing agreement signed in 1988 with Holborn European Marketing Company Limited.

Deutsche Tamoil GmbH, a German registered company based in Hamburg, was acquired and integrated into the Oilinvest Group in 1993 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Holborn Investment Company Ltd in 1999. The company engages in business activities on the German service station market and the service stations are mainly operated under the HEM brand. The main fuel supplier of the Deutsche Tamoil GmbH is Holborn European Marketing Company Ltd that sources products from the Holborn Group owned refinery in Hamburg and via exchange contracts with international mineral oil companies operating in the German market.
